VENUES where smokers are reported breaking the new ban on smoking in indoor public spaces will face more checks by the authorities, the Shanghai Health Promotion Commission said yesterday.
Breaches can be reported on the commission’s 12345 hotline, which has already received a “significant number” of reports since the ban took effect on March 1, the commission said. The commission received 600 calls in the first week of the ban.
