Smoking is hazardous to health. Six of the world’s eight leading causes of death are caused by tobacco use, which include heart diseases, cerebrovascular diseases, lower respiratory infections, chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases, tuberculosis and cancers of trachea, bronchus and lung. Tobacco contains more than 7,000 chemicals, in which over 70 are carcinogens. Seondhand and third-smoke exposure is also harmful to health of other people especially infant and children. According to the US Surgeon General report on smoking and passive smoking, tobacco is harmful to most of the organs of human body.
